East Donegal Township is located in northwestern Lancaster County. It is northwest of Lancaster and is surrounded by Conoy, Rapho, Mount Joy, and West Donegal Townships. It is also border on the south by the Susquehanna River and York County.
East Donegal Township is in the Donegal School District.
