Mount Joy Township is located in western Lancaster County. It is northwest of Lancaster and is surrounded by Rapho, East Donegal and West Donegal Townships and by Dauphin County. Part of Mount Joy Township is in the Elizabethtown Area School District while the remaining portion is in the Donegal School District.
